Fine Arts Festival success

March 25, 2024

30 high school students visited fellow LifePlus school Tianjin International School last weekend, enjoying two days filled with workshops before performances were held Saturday night. Students from choir, band, art and drama enjoyed meeting friends old and new from other LifePlus schools, commenting how nice it is to work collaboratively rather than competitively like at the athletics tournaments.

The two days of workshops allowed students from six different schools to work together, learning from and inspiring one another. Teaching staff from the Fine Arts departments across LifePlus China schools were also present, lending their expertise to our students, helping their experience to be rich and deep.

The weekend culminated in the Saturday evening concert. The band and choir both performed music that they only rehearsed together over the course of two days. This was challenging as it required students to listen carefully to one another and follow the direction of an unknown conductor. Drama students performed a series short one act sketches. These Help Desk skits were hysterical, and demonstrated cooperation between students from various schools.
