성장과 탐험

ISQ 중학교는 모든 학생들이 교사와 친구들로부터 환영받고, 존중과 인정을 받는 학습 환경을 제공한다는 점에서 차별화된 특성을 가지고 있습니다. 교사들은 학생들이 어린 시절부터 학문과 관심 있는 분야에 기반을 두고 성장할 수 있도록 중요 학문 및 특별/재량 활동을 열정으로 지도합니다.

연구 결과는 교사-학생의 관계가 학생의 학습에 가장 중요한 영향을 미친다고 합니다. 모든 중학교 학생은 소그룹 멘토링 그룹에 속해있으며, 지정 교사를 통해 지도 받게 됩니다. 더불어 학습 문제를 논의, 해결하고 함께 목표를 세우게 됩니다.

ISQ 중학생들은 이전에 접하지 못했던 새로운 과목을 통해 확장된 교육을 제공받게 되며, 이는 그들의 재능, 책임감, 리더쉽, 학습을 향한 사랑을 넓히게 될 것입니다.

교과 과정

ISQ에게 있어 균형잡힌 교육이란 탁월한 학업과 폭넓은 활동을 통한 학생들의 몸과 마음 및 생각의 성장이라고 믿습니다.

영어

English Language Arts curriculum focuses on reading, writing, listening and speaking, and language foundations. We offer English I-IV, AP Language, AP Literature, AP Seminar, and AP Research.

수학

Mathematics courses are created to meet the needs of students who have varying backgrounds, interests, and career goals. We offer Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, Advanced Calculus, and AP Statistics.

체육

Students acquire lifelong healthy skills and knowledge through health and physical education courses which cover broad personal health topics, the interconnectedness of physical, social, emotional, and intellectual health, and necessary skills in various sports.

사회

Students develop skills in historical analysis, economic principles, respectful critique, and learn about recurring themes in societies throughout time. Our social studies curriculum offers Modern World History, AP World History, Economics, AP Economics, AP Comparative Government, Contemporary History, CSI (Culture, Society, Identity), Government, and AP Geography.

철학

Philosophy at ISQ exposes students to various philosophies, ethical issues, and worldviews, and guide students to research, articulate, and defend their personal worldview. Students will take Introduction to Philosophy, Applied Ethics, Worldview and Popular Culture, Advanced Philosophy, and Worldview Survey and Development.

과학

Science courses offer a wide variety of scientific disciplines which develop students' skills and become scientifically literate. Students can choose Biology, Chemistry, Physics, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, AP Computer Science A, AP Computer Science Principles.

중국어

Whether students are beginning Chinese or continuing their mastery, we offer expansive Chinese classes. ISQ has six levels of core Chinese, AP Chinese, and Honors Chinese for Native Speakers.

예술

With a history of remarkable teachers, the students in our visual and performing arts programs have flourished, establishing our programs amongst the most vibrant in the region. Students can take Introduction to Art, Advanced Art, AP Studio Art, Choir, Band, Fundamentals of Performing Arts, and Movie Production.
